We didn't go anywhere for the weekend since we are awaiting Ada's surgery, but lucky for us neither did our neighbors! First Mason and Andy went to the Father's and son's Friday night. Then we pitched our tent in our neighbors back yard. The Wimmer's , Johnsens, and Kmetzsch's had a modified camping trip. This is the only way to go, being that Ada and I got to sleep in our own beds, while Andy slept out with Cole, Mason, and Sydney. Ha ha! We had a campfire, ate smores, had a pancake breakfast, the works! I wonder what the poor people are doing? We love our neighborhood!

Ten Pounds
Ada finally broke the ten pound mark! (I wish people would get excited when I gained 10 pounds!) We went to the cardiologist today and she weighed 10lbs. 2 oz!! She had another sedated echo and everything looked good. The cardiologist is optimistic that she will do well. So its a go for June 12. Now we just need to keep her healthy until then. She is the best baby. She just rolls with it. Mason is the best. He is always on the watch out for her.

FINALLY!
Mason finally lost a tooth. He was so excited. It had been hanging out of his mouth, with the new tooth growing in behind it. It was bugging me and he would not let me pull it out. Until one night I chased him downstairs to his room, tackled him to the floor only to loosen it. The next day I was able to get a better hold of it and was able to pull it out. I couldn't tell if he was excited about it at first since it did bleed a little, but when he returned home from school he had a lot to say about being able to write his name on the tooth board at school. I love this kid!!

Health Insurance
It has been one fight after another with our health insurance coverage. Don't get me wrong the coverage is great, it's just gettting them to actually pay for things. I got a letter in the mail saying that Ada's last Synagis shot was not covered. This is a shot that immunizes for RSV. It is very expensive and only high risk babies/children receive it and it has to be preapproved. So the letter was telling Andy and I that we owed $2200.00 to our provider. I about peed my pants. Needless to say I have been on the phone for the last two days trying to figure this out. Finally the doctors office came back and said that it was their mistake. Few! That was a relief. Especially since she is to get another one of these shots on Friday. Too much red tape. Did I hear someone say kids are cheep? I can't wait for summer and for Ada to get through her surgery so that I can relax a little!

Things I've Learned
Since I started having children there are a few things that I have learned:
- You stop listening to your favorite music in the car and listen to Fisher Price songs, or play a movie just to keep the kids from screaming
- change the boy baby diapers as fast as you can, and duck!
- When your son scores his first goal in soccer, the parents are more excited than the child is. (That would have been me today at Mason's soccer game)
- You can never pack enough changes of clothes or diapers
- You pack up the pantry and toy chest to make it through three hours of church
- You can never get enough hugs and kisses
- Your child's frustrations become your frustrations
- A bribe can go a long way (oops not a bribe an incentive)
- Pray for the strength to do the Lord's will, and the courage to accept it
- Just keep a goin'!
- That the tooth fairy is poor.
- Being a mom to four wonderful children is the greatest thing in the whole wide world!!
- That it's okay to ask for, and allow people to help
- A car ride is great, because you can legally restrain your children
